Round chopstick rest with light blue glass glaze

We created these plump, round chopstick rests by combining white clay, which brings out the vivid color of the glaze, with a beautiful light blue glass glaze that has a lustrous sheen and a pale blue color. Each piece is made by hand by rolling and flattening the clay and smoothing out the curves. The combination of the crazing glaze and the coarse clay particles allows you to enjoy the unique texture of clay. It is a little larger than the similar chopstick rests we usually sell. It can be used not only for chopsticks but also as a spoon rest for small spoons. I have a small electric kiln at home and do all the steps by hand, from kneading the clay to shaping, bisque firing, glazing and firing. We try to mold them as uniformly as possible in size and thickness, but because they are made by hand, each one is slightly different. We hope you enjoy each one's unique personality.
