Building on the popular fold-over bag silhouette, this design incorporates VA凹豆's signature patchwork color-blocking. Based on customer feedback, we've slightly increased the capacity to accommodate everyday essentials like a compact umbrella and a long wallet. It's now more colorful and even more practical. In addition to the simple structure and lightweight body, we've utilized sustainable fabric made from recycled ocean waste, embodying our core principles of sustainability, locality, and functionality. - The first batch of bags is produced by the local Taiwanese workshop, 《杉林布包-大愛縫紉手作坊》 (Shanlin Fabric Bag - Da Ai Sewing Studio) in Kaohsiung. Established in 2011 after Typhoon Morakot, Shanlin Fabric Bag is a cooperative founded by a group of women who collaborate with designers and are committed to local production in Taiwan. The Shanlin area, traditionally agricultural with limited job opportunities, lost much of its land and housing due to the typhoon. Forming this cooperative provided a lifeline for their difficult circumstances.
