The cup was fired with a matte glaze for a rustic feel, and the carved design was then hand-painted with overglaze enamel and fired again. To address this, we apply a food-safe sealant to all our pottery before shipping, eliminating the need for initial seasoning. This sealing process takes 2-3 days, hence our shipping timeframe of 5 days from order placement. If you prefer not to have the sealant applied, please notify us at the time of purchase. - The color of the glaze may appear whiter under natural morning light or white fluorescent bulbs, and exhibit more reddish or yellowish tones under evening light or warm-toned lamps. - Cutlery shown in product images is not included. - Product images are edited to be as true to the actual item as possible.
