Brass Care Instructions: Brass has always been a popular material for jewelry due to its affordability and resistance to fading. However, like silver, brass can oxidize, and exposure to rain, sweat, and air can darken its color. While some appreciate this natural patina, here are some tips to maintain its original luster: ♦ Avoid contact with water. ♦ When not wearing it, store it in the provided ziplock bag. If the luster appears dull, here are a few simple methods to restore your item's original radiance. Please note that while color can be restored, the original shine might not be fully recovered if the surface has been scratched (though the matte, antique bronze look is also beautiful!). ♦ Dip a toothbrush in a small amount of foaming toothpaste or tooth powder and gently brush the brass as if brushing your teeth. This can restore its shine. Ensure to dry thoroughly after rinsing. ♦ Use a silver polishing cloth to quickly restore its shine (not suitable for brushed surfaces). ♦ Squeeze lemon juice, dilute it, and soak the brass accessory for about 5 minutes for a quick shine restoration (not suitable for natural beads like pearls that are sensitive to acid).
