It's recommended to establish a habit of purifying your crystals, perhaps on the 1st of each month or during the full moon (the 15th of the lunar calendar). There are many methods for purifying crystals, with detailed explanations available in books and online. While soaking in saltwater is a commonly mentioned method, some crystals and metals are delicate and can be damaged by salt or water. Therefore, Joyce personally doesn't highly recommend this method. If you have crushed white/purple amethyst, geodes, or clusters, you can place your crystals directly within or on top of them when not in use. Of course, the crushed crystals, geodes, and clusters used for purification also need regular purification. For instance, they can be placed in sunlight for solar purification or under moonlight for lunar purification. Joyce finds __smoke purification__ to be the most effective method! You can light sage, dried cedar leaves, dried mugwort leaves, or incense, and **use the smoke to purify**.
