Hand-ground and Adjusted Calligraphy Nib: 1. For the calligraphy nib, it is recommended to first try dip-pen writing (do not remove the converter installed in the barrel to prevent ink backflow after writing) to allow the nib to adapt to your writing style. After some use, then use the converter for inking. 2. The calligraphy nib is an EF nib that has been ground and adjusted to have a curved tip, allowing for line variation not solely through pressure, but by the angle of your grip. Utilizing the nib's inherent curvature to achieve line thickness. Holding the pen more upright, with less contact area between the nib and paper, results in finer lines. A more slanted grip or slight added pressure increases the contact area, producing broader strokes. The ability to write both thick and thin lines depends on your proficiency. (Each nib has a certain tolerance for pressure; avoid excessive force to prevent damage or misalignment. It is advisable to use a writing pad beneath your paper for cushioning.)
