Currently a scarce material, it is at risk of endangerment and its export is restricted by Paraguay. Green Sandalwood is exceptionally hard, making its processing slow and demanding on tools. If left out of sunlight for extended periods, its color will revert from green to yellow. A 20-minute sunbath can restore its green hue.
