Thank you for visiting. ☺︎ This is a book cover for paperback books, crafted from the suede of British bridle leather. Each piece is meticulously hand-stitched, one needle at a time. It is a free-type cover with adjustable thickness, allowing for comfortable use with books up to approximately 30mm thick. Please note that it is not compatible with larger paperback sizes (like Hayakawa Bunko). ★ If you have other size requirements, please feel free to inquire in the comment section. We can accommodate sizes such as Shinsyo-ban, Hayakawa Bunko-ban, Yonroku-ban, and A5-ban. ■ Material We use the suede of bridle leather from Thomas Ware & Sons. Thomas Ware & Sons is a long-established tannery with over 170 years of history, founded in Bristol, UK, in 1840. Bridle leather is originally very sturdy leather made for horse tack, and it gains strength and durability by impregnating it with waxes such as beeswax, tallow, and vegetable oils. The white powder on the leather's surface is the solidified wax that has been applied and is called "Bloom," a hallmark of bridle leather. The bloom will naturally fade with use, but if it bothers you, you can brush it off or wipe it away with a dry cloth. The texture of the leather is moderately firm yet supple, owing to the use of durable bridle leather. You can enjoy the process of it gradually conforming to your hands. For the stitching thread, we use 100% natural linen waxed thread from the Taiwanese brand "Rikka." Rikka's threads are high-quality and meet the non-toxic and non-fading requirements of SGS, one of the world's largest testing organizations, for physical and chemical testing. ■ Color Navy ■ Size When unfolded: Height 165mm × Width 334mm ■ Precautions As leather is a natural material, there may be inherent scratches or wrinkles.
