While the crate appeared to be of a simplistic design, it was actually a technical wonder – it was lightweight and could be stacked up to save space and facilitate delivery. The designer aligns the soda crate and the soda bottle in a crisscross pattern, creating a unique aesthetic to endorse these cultural symbols that grew together with Hongkongers.
