Today, regional development is a subject of study in itself. As 2020 approaches, SAMPAN has decided to introduce design that "changes the future of Japan" in a three-part series. This issue focuses on the D&department PROJECT, a design brand that began cultivating regional initiatives over a decade ago, showcasing how they have built a symbiotic relationship with all 47 prefectures through their design philosophy. Like a second-hand paper bag sealed with tape, it's not just about environmental protection but also deeply intertwined with principles. In this issue, SAMPAN delves into the details through its shops, products, magazines, and travel experiences. It also turns inward to discuss our own land, sharing new discoveries between Taiwan and Japan.
