→ Soda Firing
Soda firing is a high-temperature ceramic firing technique. By injecting soda into the kiln at high temperatures, it vaporizes and chemically reacts with the clay components of the ceramic body, creating a unique and varied glassy glaze effect on the surface of the piece. Soda firing can produce rich and diverse glazes such as orange peel texture, shimmering, smooth, and even crackled effects. Furthermore, each piece possesses a unique aesthetic due to the kiln's atmosphere and the random distribution of soda.
This soda firing was done by the Yunsen Taotao Studio on Yangmingshan. If you're interested in the soda firing technique, feel free to follow Yunsen Taotao Studio!

Brew a cup, and navigate through personal confusion.
It's the first ceramic coffee dripper on the market designed with a maze as its central theme. Specifically designed for small batches, suitable for 10g-15g.
Its design has a little story behind it.
Countless friends around me are trapped in worries about their careers, relationships, families, and more. Some resign themselves to fate and lower their heads; others continue to bravely forge ahead.
Not long ago, while brewing coffee at a gathering, I listened to my old friends share their troubles. Although everyone's worries were different, I sensed a shared feeling of bewilderment. It felt as if they each had a giant maze in their hearts, and after making a difficult choice down one path, another fork would appear before them.
As I brewed coffee, watching the ordinary water penetrate the coffee grounds to become the cup that fuels the passion in so many hearts, I suddenly felt the spiritual essence of coffee.
An idea then struck me: If the dripper were a maze, could we, while brewing, transform some of the pent-up emotions in our hearts through the penetration of water, even just a little, into a sweet cup of coffee?
This was the moment I designed the maze dripper.
The capacity is set for a single serving because the mazes in our hearts are often internal dialogues. Every moment of self-doubt, every space where we feel alone, is our own.
In addition to the maze ribs inside the dripper, there's a small bee flying around in the cityscape silhouette at the bottom, much like a lost person in the city searching for direction, constantly buzzing. Of course, this bee represents the 'self' in our natural glaze.
