Although everyone's worries were different, I sensed a shared feeling of bewilderment. It felt as if they each had a giant maze in their hearts, and after making a difficult choice down one path, another fork would appear before them. As I brewed coffee, watching the ordinary water penetrate the coffee grounds to become the cup that fuels the passion in so many hearts, I suddenly felt the spiritual essence of coffee. An idea then struck me: If the dripper were a maze, could we, while brewing, transform some of the pent-up emotions in our hearts through the penetration of water, even just a little, into a sweet cup of coffee? This was the moment I designed the maze dripper. The capacity is set for a single serving because the mazes in our hearts are often internal dialogues. Every moment of self-doubt, every space where we feel alone, is our own. In addition to the maze ribs inside the dripper, there's a small bee flying around in the cityscape silhouette at the bottom, much like a lost person in the city searching for direction, constantly buzzing.
