This inspired us to create a plan, using stationery items, to reintroduce these colors to everyone in a fresh new light. It's as if they are trying to warm themselves by friction, yet these sounds fill the air with a sense of emptiness. Just hearing them evokes a deep chill. In a hidden corner, ten centimeters beneath the soil, the young Moso bamboo sprouts bravely resist the heavy, damp earth, growing stronger inch by inch. Finally, a crack appears in the soil above, letting in the crisp, cold air. At this moment, the greatest risk comes from the farmers who venture up the mountain at dawn to harvest. If they survive today, they have a chance to grow into Moso bamboo that reaches the clouds. If discovered, they can only become the delicious winter bamboo shoots gracing winter tables. If I become a winter bamboo shoot, I hope to be paired with shiitake mushrooms and chicken. As expected, the sun today shines like plastic, radiating light without warmth, adorning the sky frozen by the cold wind. * "霽" is an ancient character meaning clear skies after rain or snow, or a clear, bright sky itself. We have captured the cold clarity of a winter sky as a color, hence "Winter Wren." May you feel this crispness as you write.
