Special Edition Basic Wallet: Buttero x Barolo Camel

Dajey Leather Products primarily uses carefully selected domestic leathers for most of its products. This is the second installment of a special project that collaborates with renowned imported leathers, based on our consistently popular Basic Wallet. "Italian Buttero Leather × Domestic Barolo Leather" Buttero leather is a vegetable-tanned (oiled) leather produced in Tuscany, Italy, by a small tannery called Walpier. The leather used is from the shoulder of steers (adult cattle), a limited area from each animal, making it known as a rare and luxurious leather. Crafted using traditional vegetable-tanning methods passed down through generations in Tuscany, and dyed with natural colorants derived from flowers and bark, it offers a rustic warmth that truly embodies the essence of leather. Among its many charms, the greatest appeal of Buttero leather is undoubtedly its beautiful "aging process." Because the material has densely packed fibers, the slow infusion of plant-based oils over time gradually surfaces, and with careful use, it develops a dynamic and beautiful "deepening of color and luster" that is distinct from other leathers. This time, we have chosen beige, a color that allows you to enjoy the aging process the most. Furthermore, the interior features Barolo leather (domestic vegetable-tanned leather), known for its beautiful, albeit slightly more gradual, aging characteristics. This combination creates a difference in the speed of color and texture changes as they age between Buttero and Barolo, resulting in a beautiful contrast. Over the course of long-term use, it will continue to captivate with its charm, leaving no room for boredom. By combining Buttero and Barolo leather on a beige base this time, the rustic texture and the curves of the Basic Wallet intertwine, creating a warm wallet that shines like the sun, powerfully illuminating the beautiful countryside landscapes of Japan and Italy.
