●●●What is Hetian jade?
Hetian jade is one of the "four famous jades in China". In the traditional narrow sense, it refers specifically to the jade produced in the Hetian area of Xinjiang, and is famous for its Hetian "seed material"; in the broad sense, Hetian jade refers to nephrite (real jade).
When Qin Shi Huang unified China, Hetian jade was called "Kunshan Jade" because it was produced in Kunlun Mountain. Later, it was called "Khotan Jade" because it was located in the territory of "Khotan Kingdom". It was not until the establishment of Hetian Prefecture in the ninth year of Guangxu in the Qing Dynasty (1883) that it was officially named "Hetian Jade".
Although Hetian jade is named after Hetian in Xinjiang, it is not a geographical concept. It does not specifically refer to the jade produced in the Hetian area of Xinjiang, but is the name of a type of product. China names stones with Stone components accounting for more than 98% as Hetian jade, which are all within the scope of the national standard. That is, whether it is produced in Xinjiang, Qinghai, Liaoning, Russia, Canada, or South Korea, it can be called Hetian jade if its main component is Stone.
The colors of Hetian jade are very rich, including white, cyan, gray, light to dark green, yellow to brown, ink color, etc.
Hetian jade is a metamorphic rock formed by the contact replacement of magnesian marble and intermediate-acidic igneous rock. It contains multiple mineral aggregates such as Stone, Stone, Stone, etc. Its chemical composition is hydrated calcium magnesium silicate with the chemical formula Ca2(Mg,Fe)5[Si8O22](OH)2. Its density is 2.95-3.17 and its Mohs hardness is between 6.0-6.5.
The main structure of Hetian jade is metamorphic structure, including felt-like cryptocrystalline metamorphic structure, micro-fiber-cryptocrystalline metamorphic structure, micro-fiber honey night metamorphic structure, micro-lamellar-cryptocrystalline metamorphic structure, micro-lamellar metamorphic structure and micro-radial (broom-shaped) metamorphic structure. In addition, it also includes uncommon residual structure and replacement crown structure;
Although the mineral particles of Hetian jade have certain orientation, they are not strong. Occasionally, particles have wavy extinction and plastic deformation. These all indicate that the stress intensity of the metamorphism is within the elastic limit of the mineral.
The main structures of Hetian jade include block structure and flake structure, with block structure being more common.
●●Jade playing requires “mutual cultivation between people and jade”
The common saying about playing with jade is "people take care of jade for three years, and jade takes care of people for a lifetime". Jade contains rich trace elements, which will be activated by heating the jade. But there is actually a simpler way, which is what we now call "people and jade nourish each other". The easiest way to play and maintain jade when wearing it close to the body! The sweat and oil secreted by the body can effectively moisturize the jade and make it more moist and bright. The trace elements of jade are also activated by the body's heating and enter the body through the skin, strengthening blood circulation and improving metabolism! It plays a role in health care!
●● Jade should be maintained in time when not worn
If the jade cannot be worn close to the body or cannot be worn for special reasons, it must be maintained in time. You can oil the jade regularly by dropping baby oil, olive oil, or vegetable oil on a toothbrush, then brush it evenly on the jade, and then put it in a bag and seal it for storage!

Brand Concept
Jade has gone through thousands of years of wind and dust, and civilizations have changed day and night. We use our own hands and wisdom to polish it, embellish it, inject soul and thought into it, and give it a unique style.
Every piece of jade should have its own story. What kind of story does it bring? What kind of expectations does it have for the future? I think this is the vitality of jade. No matter what kind of elements or what kind of subject matter, I hope to be based on the present, record this era, and tell its story in my own formal language, hoping to resonate with more people.
