We will lead everyone to pick up the memories, reassemble them, and give the objects new life and continuity. In the world of Kintsugi restoration, the difficulty and challenge lies not in the restoration process or how severe the damage is, but in the need to conceive and arrange a unique restoration process for each damaged object based on its texture, shape, material properties and structure, so that the object can be reborn in perfect condition. In this course, in addition to learning the complete concept, process steps (gluing/filling/painting/installing kintsugi), and techniques of Kintsugi restoration, students will also share their knowledge of various material properties, glaze conditions, and modeling components of ceramic vessels. This will help students inspect, analyze, and judge damaged objects, and finally construct a restoration process that suits the object.
