There's a small story behind why we decided to represent this brand.
In late 2024, just before a scheduled business trip to Korea, a sudden lockdown was announced. Fortunately, it was lifted just before our flight, allowing us to arrive safely. However, upon reaching Korea, we found ourselves trapped in a subway car. Protesters were flooding in, pushing us to the point where breathing became difficult and movement was impossible. We were almost lifted off our feet. We kept wondering, "What do we do? Will this turn into a stampede?" We encouraged each other to stay calm, find ways to breathe, keep our heads up, and most importantly, stand firm to avoid falling. Thankfully, after a few stops, the dense crowd disembarked at Yeouido Station, and we were left in tears from the shock.
A few stops later, we exited the subway and unexpectedly stumbled upon Hyejin's exhibition. The cats' languid and contented postures instantly calmed the turbulent storm we had just weathered. We, who were disoriented and shaken, felt as though we had found solid ground again.
We truly felt, from the bottom of our hearts, that it's wonderful to have cats in this world.
Hyejin's cat artworks are a true treasure.
And so, this unexpected collaboration came to be. 🤍

Hyejin's style blends modern sensibilities with traditional Korean techniques, creating works through slow, deliberate creation and hand-painting.
We are deeply fond of the retro, nostalgic feel in his works, which strongly evokes the folk painting scrolls of Korea's Joseon Dynasty.

Every stroke meticulously outlines incredibly fine details, creating artworks that can be admired for a long time.
Creating art with traditional Korean crafts requires immense patience. The artist delicately applies layers of color, achieving rich depth and saturated, profound hues.
Even tiny butterflies and grasshoppers are rendered with such exquisite detail and soul.

Each painting captures the essence of cats sharing our space. The "unhurried pace" and "quiet companionship" that cats embody become the message the artist wishes to convey.
Hyejin frequently holds solo exhibitions in Korea and has been creating art for over a decade.

Hyejin uses his own cats as his primary muses, depicting them as both mischievous and sharp-eyed – embodying that perfect blend of "fierce yet adorable" personality. There's a sense of conflict and harmony, a flawless fusion of tradition and modernity.
By incorporating contemporary artistic styles and characters, he portrays the lives and thoughts of animals within traditional art.
He utilizes Korean paper (hanji), a material less commonly seen in the market, and meticulous Gongbi (fine-line painting) techniques. This paper lends a gentle warmth to the overall palette, while the intricate Gongbi lines ensure the artworks are rich in detail.
