Creating a washi tape from the Lake Tekapo plein air sketch! Grateful to the printing company for capturing the colors exactly as I envisioned. Lake Tekapo, located on New Zealand's South Island, is a place like a fairy tale. This mint-and-milk-like lake color is unique to glacial erosion, known as rock flour or glacial milk... This sketch was painted in 2013 during a return visit. Upon arriving at the YHA (Lake Tekapo), I immediately went to the lakeside, forgetting hunger, to see if the water was as clear as it was seventeen years ago.
