Taiwan Freshwater Fish Moisture-Wicking T-Shirt

The beautiful freshwater fish of Taiwan have long been absent from cultural and creative products. This is a beginning, a T-shirt worn to raise awareness and contribute our humble efforts to aquatic ecosystem conservation and educational outreach. The Sand Dwelling Goby (formerly known as Cebu Goby), a charming fish no larger than 8 centimeters, is a "sanctuary" level inhabitant of independent streams. Only a very few, absolutely natural and pristine habitats can sustain their lives. The Taiwanese population was discovered in 2007 by Mr. Ming-Tai Chou. They primarily inhabit small streams in the east and south, feeding on aquatic invertebrates. The fry have a pelagic phase in estuaries or at sea, and undertake upstream migration as they grow. The image depicts the breeding season, where the male courts the female with rubbing motions before they retreat into the "bridal chamber" of a nearby rock crevice to spawn, fertilize, and continue their lineage. The "Fish & Water" moisture-wicking T-shirt was approved by fish expert Mr. Ming-Tai Chou and co-created with ecological artist Mr. Cheng-Lin Li and designer Ms. Tsao-Yi Yao, advocating for the beautiful small creatures in Taiwan's secret stream habitats. We hope for our freshwater ecosystems to remain pristine and enduring, with healthy fish and clean water. The material and printing have also been carefully selected and arranged.
