|░ Reasons to Love Jadeite ░|
"A person nurtures jade for three years, and jade nurtures a person for a lifetime."
Crystals possess a powerful aura but require regular demagnetization. Jadeite, a natural hard jade, is warm and gentle in nature. While its aura may not be as strong as crystals, jadeite's inherent energy is exceptionally clean and pure, bringing only beneficial influences and dispelling negative energy.
Currently, over 40 minerals have been discovered within jadeite. Its chemical composition is sodium aluminum silicate—NaAI〔Si2 O6〕, often containing trace elements like Calcium (Ca), Chromium (Cr), Nickel (Ni), Manganese (Mn), Magnesium (Mg), and Iron (Fe).
White: Essentially free of impurities.
Red: Contains trivalent iron.
Black: Contains over 2% chromium.
Green: Contains over 2% chromium and bivalent iron.
Yellow: Contains elemental iron.
Purple: Contains elemental manganese.
Blue: Similar to green, but rarer.
Trace element "Calcium" (Ca) is the most abundant mineral in the human body, primarily distributed in bones and teeth, with its presence also found in blood and muscles. Calcium is a vital regulator of bodily life activities, fulfilling important physiological functions throughout all stages of life, from youth to adulthood and old age. Calcium is an indispensable element for maintaining human health and longevity, a macromineral that the body cannot lack.
Trace element "Chromium" (Cr) is crucial for maintaining normal physiological functions, preventing cardiovascular diseases, and aiding in blood sugar regulation. The human body cannot synthesize it independently and must obtain it through natural foods or supplements. It can enhance insulin sensitivity in individuals with Type 2 diabetes, assist overweight individuals in managing cholesterol and blood sugar, and its loss accelerates in individuals under high stress. Therefore, these three groups particularly need it.
Trace element "Nickel" (Ni) is an essential trace element for the human body. An adult body contains approximately 6-10 mg of nickel, primarily found in the brain and liver. Nickel is absorbed in the human intestines, and unabsorbed nickel is mostly excreted through feces. Only 10-20% of nickel from food is absorbed by the body.
Trace element "Manganese" (Mn) is another category of trace elements that protects the human body. Jadeite also contains this element. Long-term wear of jadeite can promote blood circulation, accelerate metabolism, alleviate aging, and prevent certain age-related diseases.
Trace element "Magnesium" (Mg) is also a macromineral essential for the human body. Like calcium, magnesium is a nutrient necessary for normal bone growth. Sufficient magnesium levels can effectively regulate calcium and maintain normal neuromuscular function, with both working synergistically. Magnesium can inhibit platelet aggregation; therefore, deficiency may increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Furthermore, magnesium deficiency can increase chronic inflammation, linked to the occurrence of many chronic diseases, especially cardiovascular mortality. Some studies suggest that individuals who drink hard water, with relatively high calcium and magnesium content, have lower rates of cardiovascular disease mortality. Thus, normal blood magnesium levels are associated with a lower risk of atherosclerosis.
Trace element "Iron" (Fe) assists enzymes in biochemical reactions and metabolism, making it one of the body's "essential trace elements." An adult body typically contains 3-5 grams of iron, with six to seven tenths distributed in red blood cells. Other cells also require iron to function smoothly.
Medical research reveals that jadeite possesses powerful therapeutic capabilities. Long-term wear of jadeite can not only prevent diseases but also alleviate and even treat certain conditions.
Relieving Chest Tightness: Some individuals with weaker constitutions may experience chest tightness. Wearing a jadeite pendant can alleviate common chest tightness. The jadeite pendant emits energy into the "Long Han" and "Shen Fu" acupoints on the chest, and through continuous massage, it can achieve a complete resolution.
Traditional Chinese Medicine Theory: In TCM, jadeite is believed to have the efficacy of "clearing internal heat, moistening the heart and lungs, nourishing hair, benefiting the five internal organs, calming the spirit, smoothing blood vessels, and improving vision and hearing."
Regularly wearing jadeite jewelry allows its trace elements to be absorbed by the skin, aiding in the coordination and balance of physiological functions in various organs.
Nourishing the Skin: Jadeite jewelry, whether necklaces, earrings, or bracelets, can directly contact the skin. The mineral elements in jadeite then enter the body, nourishing women's skin and making them appear more fair and radiant.
Cooling Relief: The cooling properties of jadeite offer a soothing sensation. During the Tang Dynasty, Yang Guifei would hold jade in her mouth to relieve summer heat. Since then, summer became a season of cool relief. Jade pillows, bracelets, beds, and pendants are used to provide a cooling effect.
The above are evidence-based reasons for the benefits of jadeite. Another, less tangible reason, is its inexplicable ability to soothe the mood when feeling down or stressed, offering a sense of comfort.
