**◈ A Word from the Designer**
Carefully selected lapis lazuli (the "Stone of Emperors") is the main stone, complemented by aquamarine (the "Stone of the Brave"), auspicious silver charms (elephant - symbolizing peace and wisdom, cube - representing harmony, shell - for wealth, starfish - for good fortune), and enameled flowers (symbolizing prosperity).
The lapis lazuli is of the Imperial Blue variety, boasting a pure, deep blue with minimal white inclusions or golden pyrite. The aquamarine features a clear, rich hue for the main bead and a rainbow star effect on the raw stone pendant. The overall palette is a luxurious blue, exuding a serene and elegant beauty that is truly breathtaking. ^^
**Many gemstones in their raw form appear rugged, with sharp angles, and are fragile or matte. They often require regular oiling. To protect both the minerals and your skin and clothing, the surface of the raw stones is coated with a gemstone resin. This enhances their luster, rounds sharp edges, and eliminates the need for oiling.**
**This is a one-of-a-kind piece, awaiting its owner.**
**Lapis Lazuli**
Ancient texts record the use of lapis lazuli in China as early as 5,000 years ago, and even earlier in Egypt, around 8,000 years ago. Throughout Chinese dynasties, emperors offered sacrifices to Heaven using lapis lazuli, as its blue color resembled the sky. It was believed to be a stone that could connect with the divine. The Egyptians, too, believed it facilitated communication with the afterlife.
The finest lapis lazuli globally is found in Afghanistan. Afghan lapis lazuli is known for its bold, imperial blue color, earning it the reputation of "Imperial Blue."
When selecting lapis lazuli, look for pieces with a natural distribution of blue, white (calcite), and gold (pyrite). Due to its porous nature from formation near the earth's surface, lapis lazuli should not be exposed to water for extended periods and is best maintained with mineral oil.
**Aquamarine**
Aquamarine, named for its clear, ocean-like blue-green hue, is also known as the "Mermaid Stone." Legend has it that mermaids adorned themselves with aquamarine, exposing it to sunlight to harness its mystical power for protection. For centuries, sailors have carried aquamarine to pray for the sea god's blessings and safe voyages. Thus, aquamarine is revered as the "Stone of the Brave," symbolizing composure, courage, and wisdom.
**Cloisonné (Filigree Enamel, Vitreous Enamel)**
Cloisonné, technically known as copper-champlevé enamel, originated in the ancient Near East. Ancient Egyptian pharaohs used this technique for necklaces as early as the 19th century BC, often in conjunction with gemstone inlay. The Eastern Roman Empire later elevated this craft to great heights. It was introduced to China during the Yuan Dynasty and reached its zenith during the Jingtai reign of the Ming Dynasty, giving it its name, "Jingtai Blue."
Exquisite cloisonné pieces feature lustrous and vibrant colors, a substantial and solid base, neat and symmetrical filigree, and brilliant gilding. It embodies the gentle warmth of jade, the radiance of jewels, and the refinement of porcelain. Consequently, the cloisonné process is intricate and costly.

**◈ Care and Collection**
1. Natural gemstones possess inherent luster and unique textures (such as minor black spots, internal patterns, "ice cracks," cloudy inclusions, mineral flaws, and asymmetries). With regular wear, you will observe subtle color changes in natural gemstones, often becoming more translucent and captivating—this is the best form of care.
Natural organic gemstones (like coral and amber) have low hardness and are sensitive to acids and alkalis. If soiled, avoid using detergents; simply rinse with clean water and wipe with a soft cloth. You may also use a soft brush with a small amount of mineral oil (like baby oil) for gentle care.
2. Metal jewelry has a long lifespan but should be protected from external damage or strong acids/alkalis that could cause fading.
3. Fabric elements (ribbons, cotton, gauze) are soft and comfortable, with a long lifespan, but should be kept away from high temperatures, external damage, or strong acids/alkalis that could cause fading.
4. For any jewelry material, when soiled, gently wipe with a soft cloth dampened with water, or use an appropriate amount of neutral detergent for suitable materials. After washing, ensure it is dried promptly.
5. When jewelry is removed, store it carefully, protected from excess air to slow down oxidation and discoloration, and avoid stacking or heavy pressure.
