Fang Yuan enemy

The 21st century should be an era of freedom, democracy and peace. The turning of the giant wheel of the times seems to bring about progress and rationality, but the undercurrent of hostility that has been crouching beneath the surface seems to remind people of the complexity of the duality of "enemy" and "me". The outbreak of the Russian-Ukrainian war shocked every corner of the world, but the devastated reality of the war just reminds us to rethink the inevitable hostile problem. From the level of the nation-state to the individual, the "enemy" is also a ghostly presence -- its meaning hovers between bringing hope and catalyzing hatred. Returning to the current context may help us rethink today's growing trend of political correctness and the intertwined relationships between politics, power and gender.
