After dozens of repeated applications and sanding, a smooth, refined, and substantial high-gloss surface is formed. This complex procedure not only makes the wood’s natural grain clearer and more vibrant but also fully displays the depth and three-dimensionality of the wood pattern. For the calligraphy nib, it is recommended to start by dipping the pen in ink (do not remove the converter installed inside the pen barrel to prevent backflow into the body) to acclimate to the nib's characteristics. Creating varying line thickness does not rely solely on applying pressure, but on the angle of the pen held; the curve of the nib tip is used to dictate line weight.
