Manual grinding and calligraphy nib adjustment: 1. For the calligraphy nib, it is recommended to start by dipping the nib into ink (do not remove the converter installed in the barrel to prevent ink from flowing backward) to allow the nib to break in. After a period of use, you may then fill the pen using the converter. 2. The calligraphy nib is crafted by grinding an EF nib to create a curved arc. Line variation is achieved not by applying heavy pressure, but by adjusting the angle of the pen to utilize the curvature of the nib tip.
