Thriving in harsh, arid conditions, Desert Ironwood grows slowly, requiring centuries to mature into a substantial material, with a lifespan potentially reaching 2000 years. Plants that grow in the desert possess inherent resilience to drought, poor soil, and intense sun. Their wood is exceptionally hard, akin to iron, owing to their slow growth in challenging environments. This density makes the wood very heavy and capable of sinking in water.
