The house, primarily constructed with cedarwood, featured ventilation openings at the foundation and a fireplace. The Japanese house, with its form and warm ambiance, exuded a sense of meticulous craftsmanship, like musical notes creating subtle shifts in light and shadow. This fostered a slow, relaxed way of life, yet it never diminished the poetic charm of the surroundings. It perfectly articulated the feelings within me – a desire for Zen-like healing and tranquility, an experience that felt unchanged for centuries. At that time, the environment evoked a sense of calm and healing akin to the evocative scenes in Chunghwa Telecom's Takeshi Kaneshiro commercials. Thus, these memories inspired me to start a business, drawing inspiration from Zen elements to develop products that offer subtle healing and introduce the essence of Zen, bringing new joy to everyday life.
