The embroidery is stiffened with a sizing agent, making it delicate in appearance yet surprisingly crisp to the touch. The process involves stretching a base thread and then weaving or knotting other threads to create patterns. The embroidery is stiffened with sizing, and once the embroidered parts are detached from the fabric, Ñandutí is complete. The result is a motif that feels quite crisp and firm, maintaining its shape while retaining the softness inherent in the thread material.
