It is widely known as a delicate flower, even being adopted as the title of a shojo manga magazine. Introduced to Japan during the Meiji era, it has a Japanese name, "Mokushungiku" (tree chrysanthemum), but the name "Marguerite," which gained broad recognition, has become firmly established. Marguerites have different meanings depending on the color of their petals. The representative white Marguerite carries meanings such as "secret love," "love divination," and "trust." The meanings of "secret love" and "love divination" stem from the flower's well-known use in "like" or "dislike" love fortune-telling. Furthermore, the meaning "secret love" is also said to be inspired by the romance between the moon goddess Artemis and Orion, for whom the flower is a symbol of "sincerity," "chastity," "compassion," and "peace." The name "Marguerite" is derived from the Greek word "Margarites," meaning "pearl." Perhaps it was named so because the petals of the clear, pure white Marguerite flower resembled the beauty of a pearl. Inspired by this origin, we envisioned an accessory combining the Marguerite flower with pearls. These asymmetrical accessories feature flowers coated in resin, with three natural freshwater pearls carefully placed to subtly frame the bloom.
