I chose my favorite dual-toned (blue-green) sapphire to craft it into the shape of a star.
Corundum, also known as sapphire, is an exceptionally tough mineral, second only to diamond in hardness on the Mohs scale.
This intricate stacking technique becomes significantly more challenging when scaled down.
The primary difficulty lies in soldering, where the molten flux, due to its fluid nature, can draw the silver wire to unintended areas. For pieces with numerous solder points, preventing adhesion and melting of components requires considerable skill and patience. The entire process leaves the torch extremely hot. It's a prime example of how reducing an object's size dramatically diminishes the margin for error.
Creating sufficient depth within a limited space demands significant experience and decisive judgment.
This time, the corundum was not only chosen for its dual tones but also for its vibrant fire.
A handcrafted star, offered to the world.

Star Creation Log
Recorder: Vic
Since embarking on the creation of stars, my mind has shifted to a channel where everything relates to stars, capturing the subtle starlight of everyday life. While making stars, thoughts about starlight occasionally surface. Sometimes, it's others' perspectives on starlight received at a certain moment, and gradually, these thoughts align with individual personalities. I wonder, as you read this, if you've heard that the human body emits a faint light. Each person is a speck of starlight.
When I close my eyes, I imagine everyone as a star; some are distant, others are close.
Regardless of whether their consciousness is aware, each face reflects another consciousness it connects with. Whether it mirrors the front or the back. Whether that light is strong or weak, it is beautiful.
Corundum, hailed as an incredibly resilient gemstone, emanates a rich spectrum of colors, including red, blue, and yellow.
Each hue embodies a powerful and stable energy.
This gemstone is revered as a symbol of courage and strength, bestowing upon individuals a resolute will and perseverance to relentlessly pursue their goals.

**Important Information for First-Time Silver Jewelry Wearers**
◮ Avoid wearing silver jewelry while bathing in hot springs or swimming. The salt in seawater and the acidity of rainwater can mildly corrode metal and cause oxidation. Sulfur in hot springs will blacken jewelry and cause vulcanization. If exposed to these substances, rinse the silver jewelry with clean water and dry it.
◮ Human sweat, which has a slightly acidic pH of 4 for skin sterilization, has been scientifically shown to corrode metals and accelerate alloy oxidation with prolonged contact. Our jewelry is not plated with other materials on the surface, making it more susceptible to corrosion and breakage when enclosed by sweat. However, **not everyone's sweat will cause breakage; if you have had similar experiences, please be extra cautious.** To keep silver jewelry looking new, it is recommended to wash and dry it after wearing it and sweating on the same day, ensuring it remains dry.
◮ Products containing chemical additives can also cause silver jewelry to corrode.
Any product with chemical additives can accelerate the oxidation of jewelry.
Common examples include: skincare products, sunscreen, cosmetics, perfumes, essential oils, detergents, chlorine in swimming pools, etc.
If you habitually wear perfume, it is recommended to apply perfume first and then wear your jewelry, avoiding direct contact between the jewelry and the perfume.
◮ Develop good habits for use and storage.
Taiwan's climate is humid, with relatively high air moisture. When not wearing the jewelry, be sure to wipe off any sweat or oils with a dry cloth, store it in a ziplock bag to block air and maintain dryness, and store each piece separately to prevent friction and surface scratches.
◮ Regarding the vulcanization of silver jewelry
925 sterling silver easily oxidizes and turns yellow or black when exposed to air; this is a natural reaction of silver jewelry, similar to how pure silver reacts with hot spring water. Simply gently wipe it with a silver polishing cloth to restore its original luster. However, in hard-to-reach areas like the gaps in a silver chain, it can appear slightly dark. Vulcanization is a technique where 925 sterling silver jewelry is intentionally oxidized to create an antique, aged, dark appearance, enhancing contrast and adding depth. It looks more uniform and attractive than natural air oxidation, and the crevices do not require extra cleaning. Frequent wear, allowing the jewelry's surface to rub against clothing, helps maintain a certain level of newness.
◮ About Us
To present the highest quality, each of our pieces is meticulously crafted through repeated inspection, correction, and polishing, allowing no porosity or flaws. To ensure the resilience of the material, we employ repeated forging, giving our silver jewelry a unique luster and texture.
Plated protective films have a high probability of peeling off with long-term wear, which can affect both the environment and the human body, and it obscures the natural luster of silver. Therefore, our pieces are never plated.
We invest significantly more time in the details. If you happen to purchase one of our pieces, you will notice that its oxidation rate is considerably slower compared to most other silver products, and its luster is also distinct.
We hope you find your one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry here.
