【Stray Cat Rescue Program】 The day before renovating the Sanshing Four Seasons Blue and White studio, I visited the site alone and was met with the common torrential rain of Yilan. Seeking shelter in the dark old house, I spotted a white cat by the window. It sat quietly, forming an unforgettable, beautiful image against the rainy backdrop. As the studio took shape, I noticed many local stray cats living around the Sanshing Four Seasons Blue and White studio. They often suffer from injuries and illnesses due to territorial disputes or continuous breeding. To ensure these lovely cats can live happy lives, we launched the "Stray Cat Rescue Program." Although I am allergic to cat hair and cannot keep cats indoors, I adore them. This program allows me to care for cats outdoors, which brings me a sense of comfort. I watch them come and go daily, capturing their likenesses with my brush. Inspired by these neighborhood strays, we've created a series of cat-themed works, infused with playful and anthropomorphic elements. These creations have been cherished by friends, leading us to gradually transform our cat records into merchandise, allowing fellow cat lovers to bring these stories into their own lives. A portion of the revenue from our stray cat series will also be donated to the stray cat rescue program. These funds will provide much-needed medical care, food, and spaying/neutering for the stray cats. We sincerely thank you for your compassion towards stray cats. From taking the clay, throwing it on the wheel, to trimming the base, and carefully lifting the semi-finished piece with fingers onto a wooden rack to air dry, followed by bisque firing, glazing, and applying the blue and white decal before the final firing – each step leaves its trace, ultimately imbuing every vessel with a unique character, warming from your hands to your heart. ★ This is a purely handmade item, not made from a mold.
