Soup bowl in red clay and Turkish blue glaze with rusted rim

Fine-grained red clay that produces a deep, rich brown color. A matte turquoise glaze that produces a greenish blue color reminiscent of tropical seas. I created a soup bowl that combines these two elements. The edges of the vessels are accented with an underglaze paint called sabi. Turkish blue glaze is a vibrantly colored glaze, but when combined with red clay, the vessel has a rustic and calm atmosphere. The base is wide so you can pour in plenty of soup. The turquoise color goes well with white, red, and yellow, so it is also recommended for cream soups, stews, burdock or pumpkin potage, minestrone soup, and goulash. I use a small electric kiln and an electric potter's wheel at home to make my pottery, and I do all of the processes by hand, from kneading the clay to shaping, bisque firing, glazing, and final firing. Although we cannot mass-produce them, each one has its own unique expression, and you can enjoy the flavor that comes from being made by hand. The item you receive will be the same as the product image. In order to avoid damaging your table as much as possible, the contact surface will be sanded down before delivery. Using various glazes and clays, I create a wide variety of pottery in different colors and shapes, searching for the best combinations.
