Artist | Teacher Yu Hua-Yu Born in 1980, he became fascinated with hand-thrown pottery during junior high school. After his military service, he moved to Yingge and studied under teachers Wu Kuo-Jung and Wu Chien-Tsai, dedicating over twenty years to ceramic arts. He has developed the Yohen Shino, Rock Mineral, and Purple Clay Cloud-Smoke series, and successfully revived the firing techniques of Song Dynasty celadon. Creative Philosophy Teacher Yu focuses his creations on kiln transformation, believing that each piece is a collaborative creation between the potter and the user that transcends time.
