The Dendrobium orchid纏花 (chan hua) brooch, named after Taiwan, infuses cultural depth, enhancing everyday aesthetics and fostering a local connection. Dendrobium orchids symbolize "bravery," "happiness," and "blessings," making them a fitting choice for personal adornment or as a thoughtful gift. To address the vulnerability of traditional 纏花 to water, this piece is crafted entirely with water-resistant materials. While this increases the complexity of the crafting process, it significantly enhances the artwork's practicality and collectibility. Furthermore, to unlock the brooch's full potential, our studio has specially designed and produced an original wooden hairpin. Hand-turned from ebony, this hairpin can be paired with different brooches, offering both beauty and utility. A transparent display box with a wooden base is also included, suitable for both tabletop display and wall mounting. This box not only provides superior protection for the 纏花 artwork but also enhances your living space when not in use, reflecting your personal taste. The brooch can thus transform into a hairpin or a piece of art for your wall. Every 纏花 artwork from our studio, from concept and material selection to prototyping and final completion, is meticulously handcrafted by a single artisan with years of experience in mixed-media art. This ensures the integrity and quality of each piece. Hand-cut patterns, delicate wrapping of countless threads, and continuous adjustments during assembly – each flower is unique, yet shares a common resemblance, striving to achieve the artistic philosophy of "a world in one flower, a Buddha in one leaf." Each 纏花 brooch comes with a wooden display box with a transparent lid, suitable for tabletop or wall mounting. An option to add an ebony hairpin accessory is also available.
