His four published calligraphy books (Kaishu, Xingshu, Fenshu, Yanti) were indispensable resources for every sign shop and stencil artist crafting hollow lettering in Taiwan. For instance, the ubiquitous "No Parking" stenciled signs are derived from Liu Yuan-Hsiang's Kaishu script. This card design draws inspiration from Liu Yuan-Hsiang's "Commercial Vocabulary - Fenshu," faithfully reproducing the calligraphic practice borders.
