Featured are four distinct designs: the Formosan Sika Deer, the Formosan Black Bear, the Formosan Landlocked Salmon, and the Formosan Swallowtail Butterfly. 【Formosan Landlocked Salmon】 Also known as the "Taiwan Salmon" or "Taiwan Trout," this fish is the only temperate-water species in the subtropical zone and is a subspecies endemic to Taiwan. It has a laterally compressed body, with a greenish-blue back and a silvery-white belly. Its sides are marked with oval, cloud-like spots, and its oblique mouth extends widely beneath the eyes. Revered as a "national treasure fish" due to its rarity, endangered status, and unique living habits, it is distinct from other fish. Approximately 15,000 years ago, as the Ice Age neared its end, Taiwan's crust uplifted, transforming gentle rivers into steep, short rapids. Only the relatively flat terrain of the upper Dajia River preserved the living environment for the Formosan Landlocked Salmon. A small fault in the middle reaches further prevented the salmon from migrating back to the sea, leading to its status as a "landlocked salmon."
