Origin/Manufacturing Method Taiwan / Original design and handcrafted by the artist. 【Thoughtful Tips】 * Pure tin should still be kept away from strong acids and alkalis (such as bathroom cleaners) to prevent corrosion and deterioration of the piece. * Pure tin will slowly oxidize in the air, deepening in color (much slower than silver or copper). It can generally be maintained with simple wiping. Alternatively, you can use "mu zei cao" (available at Chinese herbal stores) soaked in soapy water to gently rub the surface of the tinware, which will restore its luster. However, the oxidation cannot be completely removed. After cleaning, try to keep it dry and avoid prolonged contact with water, as this can lead to oxidation. * Due to the absence of a coating in pure tin products, the surface color will naturally change with time and touch through oxidation. The studio recommends handling the piece with your hands for maintenance. Unless there is severe deformation or functional damage, minor traces of age are precisely what contribute to its unique aesthetic (the transition from bright to dull is a normal oxidation phenomenon; regular handling can help the natural oils from your hands to adhere, reducing oxidation).
