Women in TFAM Collection Color Labels

The newly launched "Collection Mark-Female Figure Series" selects three paintings in the museum's collection that depict women by well-known senior painters: Chen Jin's "Leisure", Lin Zhizhu's "Little Leisure", and Walasse Ting's "Colorful Ink-43", transforming the works into the brush. Color is a color label sticker, bringing classic works into contemporary life! Walasse Ting(1929~2010) studied painting at the Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts. In 1952, he went to Paris, France, where he met artists of the Cobra School and opened up a broad artistic vision. In 1958, he moved to New York, the United States to develop art circles. He was influenced by Abstract Expressionism. Then, with his courage and talent, he formed his own unique painting art. In the work "Colour Ink-43", in the painting, a woman with red hair and red clothes is reclining charmingly on a purple sofa, holding flowers in both hands, and a cat is nestled at her feet, presenting a lazy atmosphere. The artist boldly adopts the contrasting colors of purple and yellow as the main tone of the picture, and the flat color blocks are embellished with freehand lines, which are bright and dazzling.
