Vintage Saint Christopher Pendant, French, Bible, Jesus Christ

A classic figure from France, the patron saint of travelers - Saint Christopher. His most famous legend tells of him carrying an unknown child across a river, only for the child to reveal himself as Christ. Consequently, he is revered as the patron saint of travelers, and Christians often wear his likeness as pendants, on bracelets, keep them in their pockets, or place them in their vehicles. This was originally a dark and aged vintage pendant. I gave it a gentle polish with a jewelry cloth, and to my surprise, it brightened beautifully. The pendant also has a wonderful sense of thickness. It can be worn on either side.
