Four-Strand Bracelet with Amber, Clear Seed Beads, and Indigo Blue Beads, featuring an Indian Floral Brass Clasp

This is a four-strand bracelet connecting amber & clear seed beads with indigo blue beads. The clear and amber-colored beads are antique Indian seed beads. Each bead is irregular and has a slightly rugged charm, having been worn for many years (around the 19th-20th century). The indigo blue beads are antique beads known as Indo-Pacific beads. The origin of Indo-Pacific beads dates back to the 2nd century BC. These particular beads are excavated artifacts from Indonesia, dating back to around the 10th century – over 1000 years old! Their irregular size and coloration make them endlessly fascinating. The clasp, spacer beads, and the pouch-like bead with floral engraving are Karen silver. ◇Karen Silver◇ This silver is crafted by a hill tribe living in the mountains of Thai-Burma. Each piece is handmade, and the silver is said to be of very high purity. The floral-shaped beads are also silver. The floral brass beads used for the clasp come from India. They are charming and flavorful beads, with a handmade feel and substantial presence. (Size of floral brass bead: 1.3cm diameter) The golden beads are old Oriya brass. These are antique brass beads from India, which are becoming increasingly difficult to obtain and are thus rare.
