Traditional Katazome designs will have different patterns, flowers...birds...etc...The indigo dye of different shades has its own name, which is very interesting. Brief introduction of leather: Vegetable tanned cowhide, a kind of leather full of changes, vegetable tanning is the earliest tanning method. The tanning method is to immerse the hides in different concentrations of tanning for several times, which takes one to two months. Vegetable tanned leather does not contain harmful chemical components such as heavy metals, and can directly contact the skin, while retaining the natural texture of the leather. With the passage of time, sunlight and moisture, the leather will gradually become luster, the color will become darker, and unique traces of use will appear. Some would call it 'cattle raising'! The leather straps are made of traditional double-needle hand-stitching, and the front and back are made of Italian vegetable tanned leather, which is more durable than machine-sewn. The edges are polished with sandpaper from coarse to fine, and then polished until smooth and natural.
