Material Description: The heavily used 14k gold-filled material in mixandfun designs features a layer of 1/20 14k gold plated over brass. This is a popular, low-maintenance material that retains its color well and is more accessible in price compared to solid 14k gold. Solid 14k gold means the entire piece is 14k gold, both inside and out, with a gold content of approximately 58.5%, and the remainder being silver, iron, or copper. For Taiwan's climate, this material requires even less care and offers a more refined color. It's also a good option for those with sensitive skin. Custom alloy is another material we frequently use. mixandfun carefully selects preferred, unplated chains and then applies a special electroplating process, ensuring the color remains vibrant under normal wear. Wearing Precautions: 1. Always put on your accessories after dressing and remove them before changing into loungewear. Avoid wearing jewelry while bathing, in hot springs, or swimming. 2. For earrings, we recommend attaching the provided silicone stoppers to minimize the chance of loss. 3. Taiwan's climate is warm and humid. If storing jewelry for an extended period, gently wipe with a soft cloth before placing it in a sealed bag. 4. For delicate chains, make it a habit to fasten the clasp when removing the piece to reduce tangling. 5. Both 14k gold-filled, solid 14k gold, and custom alloy pieces will show signs of wear over time; please understand this. 6. Simple maintenance tip: If you notice oxidation, don't panic. Fill a bowl with water, add a pinch of salt, and a small piece of aluminum foil. Submerge your solid gold or sterling silver jewelry for about 10 minutes, then remove. It should regain its shine.
