A solitary house stands on a vast, expansive land as far as the eye can see. What kind of building is it? What kind of people live there...? We have transformed memories of landscapes from distant, faraway lands visited during our travels into brooches using the wood inlay technique. Wood inlay is a craft where different colored woods are fitted together like a puzzle to create shapes and pictures. Some of the black dots and lines are created by scorching the wood. All coloring is done using the natural colors of the wood; no artificial pigments are used. Each piece is meticulously crafted, highlighting the unique grain of each wood. It can be worn as an accent on clothing, attached to a hat, or a simple bag... When hung on a wall, it becomes a charming little picture. The brooch will be delivered in a small box. *We have taken care to photograph the items to accurately represent their true colors, adjusting brightness as needed.
