We've created a brooch that doubles as a necklace, featuring a charming fairy cameo. This cameo is made from acrylic resin. Unlike traditional cameos carved from shell or stone, this acrylic version allows for incredibly delicate details that would be difficult to achieve with carving on such a small scale. It's like an illustration from a miniature book. The design evokes the delicate fairy illustrations by Cicely Mary Barker, reminiscent of the collectible cards once included with chocolate boxes in Japan. The motif depicts a fairy seated against a backdrop of dahlia-like flowers, with beautiful wings resembling those of a swallowtail butterfly. The cameo itself is generously sized at 4cm x 3cm, allowing you to fully appreciate its intricate details. The sixth image shows its size relative to a tray, and the seventh image places it alongside a person for a near-life-size comparison. The back is equipped with a brooch pin and a bail, enabling its use as both a brooch and a pendant. As the bail is on the smaller side, it comes with a necklace chain featuring an easy-to-attach lobster clasp. The heart-shaped clasp adds a cute touch, even when peeking out. For added security when worn as a necklace, using the brooch pin as well will help prevent excessive movement. The brooch pin features a secure rotating lock. We've selected both the brooch pin and the bail for their durability, ensuring they are soldered and plated rather than simply glued. The metal fittings are gold-toned.
