**A New Concept for 108-Bead Bracelets**
Traditionally, 108-bead bracelets are associated with Buddhist practices and are seen as solely for practitioners. This view is rather outdated.
While 108-bead bracelets do originate from Buddhist scriptures and their length allows them to be wrapped multiple times around the wrist or worn as a necklace, their materials, designs, and decorative purposes have evolved with the times. They are now more fashionable, versatile, and suitable for layering. Designers adapt to user preferences to create unique, customized pieces.
Furthermore, **the concept of 108 has never been exclusive to Buddhists. Even non-Buddhists can embrace the auspicious meaning of 108 and its potential for layered styling.**
We often share with clients that a 108-bead bracelet is an external object. Whether we are Buddhist or not, chanting or prayer is primarily an inner practice. It's important **not to be attached to or hindered by material possessions**, and certainly not to be confined by the material of the bracelet, the number of beads, how it's handled, or whether it's worn on the left or right hand.
Individuals should use prayer beads for convenience and freedom. As the "Diamond Sutra" states: "All phenomena are like dreams, illusions, bubbles, and shadows; like dew or lightning; thus, they should be contemplated." Bracelets and prayer beads are also phenomena, so one should not be overly concerned with them when using them. **Comfort should be the primary consideration.**
**The Origin of 108 Prayer Beads**
108 beads represent 108 types of afflictions. This arises from the six senses (eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body, mind), each experiencing pleasure, pain, or neutrality, totaling 18. Within these, there are notions of good, bad, and neutral, making 36. Adding the past, present, and future, we arrive at 108.
The 108 afflictions signify the myriad troubles of sentient beings, which can lead to various negative actions. Therefore, they must be overcome to achieve a state of tranquility. Wearing prayer beads serves as a constant reminder to cultivate the compassion of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, maintaining a calm and composed mindset in any environment.
In Tibetan, prayer beads are called "thangwa," which means to remember, recall, or recollect. It also signifies continuity. It represents the continuous remembrance of one's guru, yidam, dakinis, and dharma protectors, and also that they continuously bestow blessings and wisdom upon us.
**Kyanite**
Kyanite, named from the Greek word 'Kyanos' meaning blue, presents in shades of deep green, blue-green, and deep blue. Green Kyanite refers to Kyanite with a lake green or blue-green hue, associated with the throat and heart chakras.
Kyanite is rare and highly prized, with top-grade Kyanite valued comparably to sapphire.
The luster of Kyanite is captivating, exhibiting a silky sheen akin to a cat's eye, displaying multi-layered blue-green tones.
Kyanite corresponds to the brow chakra, also known as the third eye (or celestial eye), which governs the existence of the "super-ego." Its primary functions include enhancing insight, intuition, and promoting spiritual awareness. Therefore, those who practice meditation or spirituality often wear Kyanite to enhance their "spiritual abilities."
Simultaneously, Kyanite corresponds to the throat chakra, which can improve one's expressiveness and activate communication skills. It also calms emotions, alleviates worries, and fills the body and mind with vitality.
**Jade-like Translucence**
In the realm of gemstones, "jade-like translucence" refers to a gem's glassy clarity, moist sheen, and radiant luster.
This phenomenon occurs when gemstones are subjected to high heat or pressure in their natural environment, causing their structure to become more compact and refined.
Meticulously selected from the tourmaline family are the rare **Plum Blossom Tourmaline** and **premium Sand Gold Red Tourmaline**.
The ice-grade Plum Blossom Tourmaline features clear and beautiful pink and purple patterns, unique and endlessly fascinating. Its colors are rich, with a watery sheen and silk-like starlight, free of dark inclusions. The red tourmaline pendant is exquisitely carved into the shape of Ruyi (as desired) and ancient coins (for attracting wealth). The carving is superb, with vibrant colors and its characteristic **sand gold fire luster, representing the highest quality of red tourmaline**. Paired with the ice-plum blossom tourmaline on the bracelet, it exudes opulence and nobility, showcasing a woman's commanding presence, wisdom, and beauty.
**Tourmaline**
Tourmaline, also known as "Electrum Stone" or "Rainbow Gemstone," possesses powerful energy. Its vibrant, varied colors and high transparency have made it beloved since ancient times.
Tourmaline comes in a rich spectrum of colors, encompassing all seven hues, so its energy can correspond to the various chakras of the body.
When selecting tourmaline, pay attention to its color and clarity. Most tourmalines exhibit pleochroism (co-existing colors); pure single-color specimens are extremely rare.
**Ruyi**
The term "Ruyi" is easily understood as "as one wishes," symbolizing the fulfillment of desires.
The Ruyi scepter is characterized by a "cloud pattern or lingzhi mushroom" at the top connected to a long handle, sometimes represented solely by the shape of a lingzhi mushroom or cloud.
The Qing Dynasty text "Records of Things Under Different Names" states, "Ruyi was an ancient scratching tool," meaning it was used to scratch one's back (similar to a modern back scratcher).
Additionally, the "Ruyi" was used in ancient times by officials attending court to record matters (known as "Hu," also called "Court Hu" or "Handboard") and was used in warfare to command troops, symbolizing wisdom, authority, and auspiciousness.
We often see various Bodhisattvas holding Ruyi:
"Ruyi Guanyin" holds a Ruyi, signifying the ability to perceive all, rescue in times of danger, avert misfortune, ensure that all goes as desired, and bring peace of mind.
"Manjushri Bodhisattva" symbolizes wisdom. The different implements He holds have various meanings: a sword represents cutting through afflictions; a blue lotus symbolizes pure wisdom unstained by defilement; and a Ruyi represents wisdom and auspiciousness. Thus, Ruyi also signifies wisdom.

However, we will strive to maintain stylistic consistency and request your patience as we craft each masterpiece.
**◈ Care and Collection**
1. Natural gemstones possess natural luster and unique textures (minor inclusions, internal fractures, cloudiness, mineral gaps, asymmetry, etc.). With frequent wear, you will observe subtle color changes in the gemstones, often becoming more translucent and captivating, which is the best form of care.
Natural organic gemstones (such as coral and amber) are less hard and sensitive to acids and alkalis. When dirty, avoid using detergents; clean with plain water and wipe with a soft cloth. You can also gently brush with a soft brush dipped in a small amount of mineral oil (like baby oil) for maintenance.
2. Metal jewelry has a long lifespan, but avoid external force damage or strong acids and alkalis that can cause fading.
3. Fabric components (ribbons, cotton, gauze) are soft and comfortable, with a long lifespan. However, avoid high temperatures, external force damage, or strong acids and alkalis that can cause fading.
4. For jewelry of any material, when dirty, wipe with a soft cloth dampened with water as appropriate, or use a moderate amount of neutral detergent for suitable materials. After washing, ensure it is dried promptly.
5. When jewelry is removed, store it properly in packaging to minimize air exposure, slow down oxidation and discoloration, and avoid overlapping or heavy pressure.
