GF products are manufactured under high temperature and pressure, with the 14K gold layer covering the entire base metal alloy. The thickness and adhesion are far superior to electroplating. The outer layer of K gold is hard and wear-resistant, preventing peeling. However, depending on individual wear habits, the outer 14K gold layer may wear down or change color over time. Similar to sterling silver, 14KGF can also oxidize and change color. We recommend removing jewelry when swimming, exercising, or visiting hot springs. After wearing, it is recommended to lather some body wash in your palm, gently rub the necklace, rinse thoroughly with clean water, dry, and allow to air dry completely before storing in a resealable bag.
