Pottery Brooch Dahlia

The flower meaning of a white dahlia is said to be "gratitude." Its simplicity makes it suitable for layering with other jewelry or as a token of thanks. Production Process: Starting from a sketch, the clay is molded and then repeatedly shaped after brief drying periods. We carefully fill the kiln, preparing enough pieces for about a month. Bisque firing takes 7 hours. After removal and wiping with water, each piece is individually glazed before the main firing, which lasts 12 hours. Some pieces may receive a gold glaze and undergo a further 7-hour firing. Due to the necessity of slow cooling, we wait about two days after each firing before removing items from the kiln. Finally, each piece is inspected, and a pin is attached to those that meet our standards. Our success rate is currently around 70%. Though this process requires significant time and effort, the result is a decorative brooch that combines the tactile feel of clay, the strength of pottery, the luster of glaze, and the sparkle of gold accents. We believe it is a piece that can be cherished for a long time, unchanging.
