Artist: Kwood

Born in Hsinchu, Taiwan in 1983, with a background in craft design, Kwood once wandered the streets of Japan, experiencing how wooden art infused the ancient alleys with a warm and profound vitality. These objects, like fragments of time, carrying the traces of history and the outlines of the future, seek a subtle balance between opposition and harmony, transforming into delicate works that closely connect the vision of the new generation with the simplicity of the old era. Agarwood, once crushed into powder for its scent, was solemnly placed in the most auspicious area of homes in Japan, symbolizing vitality and light.
The agarwood is sourced directly from its origin, pure and flawless, free from artificial embellishments like boiled glue, drawn lines, or added fragrances. It is presented in its most natural form, where ancient techniques are used to meticulously peel away the outer layers of aged wood by hand, revealing the true soul of the agarwood. This not only imbues it with eternal vitality but also subtly intertwines tradition and modern craftsmanship at your fingertips, creating a feast for the eyes and the senses. Its rich aroma, like the condensation of time, gently draws together memories of the past and aspirations for the future, allowing them to meet and resonate within the fragrance, continuously extending, distant, and profound.
