Founded in 1994 by the Franciscans, it engages in various activities, including caring for Hansen's disease and cancer patients and providing vocational training and employment for women with hearing and speech impairments. We provide safe and supportive work and living environments for women in difficult circumstances. Women could earn fair wages, receive bonuses after three to five years of work, and even start sewing at home. It is also the first production plant in a developing country to be certified by the British organic certification body Soil Association and to meet the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS).
