When we wear crystals, we resonate with their energy. Therefore, __regularly purifying your crystals is important__. It's recommended to develop a habit of purifying your crystals regularly, for instance, on the 1st of each month or during the full moon (the 15th of the lunar calendar). There are many methods for purifying crystals, with detailed explanations available in books and online. Perhaps the most commonly mentioned method is soaking in saltwater. However, some crystals and metals are delicate and can be damaged by salt or water, so Joyce personally doesn't recommend soaking in saltwater. If you have white/purple crystal chips, geodes, or clusters, you can place your crystals directly in or on them when not being worn. Of course, the chips, geodes, and clusters used for purification also need to be purified regularly. For example, they can be placed in sunlight for purification or under moonlight. So far, Joyce finds __smoke purification__ to be the most effective! You can light palo santo, dried cedar leaves, dried sage leaves, or incense, and then **purify with the smoke**.
