While woven linen is something we at Pint! have handled before, linen knit is rarely seen. This is a long-sleeved pullover made from linen knit. It is 100% linen. Despite being linen, its knit construction offers a novel sensation of lightness and softness that gently envelops the body. Unlike a crisp, loosely woven knit, this piece offers a pleasant softness achieved by knitting fine-gauge yarns. The double-layered construction makes it less sheer and provides a comfortable, embracing fit. The linen is sourced from Europe and each piece is carefully knitted in Yamagata over time. By using single yarns, which are not twisted, the inherent characteristics of the linen yarn are maximized, demonstrating a commitment to the material from its very origin. This exceptionally high-quality craftsmanship leverages the expertise of the company that originally produced knitwear for collection brands. The double-layered construction ensures it is not sheer and gently conforms to the body. While linen can sometimes feel stiff and rigid in woven forms, its knitted structure inherently provides stretch. With each wear, the garment gradually molds to your body's shape. As it is knit, it will stretch slightly throughout the day, but washing will cause it to shrink gently with the water. This process allows the garment to adapt to your unique form. It will feel looser in areas that experience tension, such as the shoulders and elbows, and snugger in areas that do not. It is machine washable, so repeated wear and washing will help the garment perfectly fit your body. (Washing instructions are provided at the bottom.
