This is a collaborative work with Haka Kiln, a potter based in Imari City, Saga Prefecture. These are round pottery fragments decorated with black and white Mishima patterns. While the pottery features a traditional Japanese pattern in a calm black color, it also resembles floral motifs. After applying the Mishima patterns, the kiln's artisans meticulously hand-carved each piece into a circular shape before firing. The sides of the pottery fragments are adorned with Kintsugi, so the gold accent is visible from the side, adding a touch of elegance. Please wear them as a unique accent to both casual and elegant outfits. Length: Pottery fragment: 16mm in diameter. This work uses a modern, simplified Kintsugi technique, which involves adhesive, unlike traditional methods using actual tree sap from lacquer trees.
