This marked a unique precedent as the first card store globally to be appointed as a Shoyeido dealer. Shoyeido, a renowned incense purveyor in Kyoto, Japan, boasts a history dating back to Hoei 2 (1705). Now in its twelfth generation, the company continues to uphold traditional incense-making methods, utilizing natural ingredients. Many of Kyoto's celebrated temples, including Kinkaku-ji, Ginkaku-ji, Toji, and Kiyomizu-dera, use Shoyeido incense. The commemorative incense sticks purchased at these temples are also meticulously crafted by Shoyeido. All incense products are handmade in Kyoto workshops, adhering to ancient techniques. Furthermore, Shoyeido's entire range of products, from incense burners to small incense holders and personal sachets, are committedly made in Japan using the finest materials. Despite Shoyeido's considerable renown both in Japan and internationally, the company maintains a strict policy of only nine directly managed stores across Japan, avoiding the expansion of sales points or the use of franchise systems to increase sales volume. This approach ensures the utmost quality in both merchandise and service. For its overseas locations, Shoyeido rigorously vets the business philosophy and practices of each distributor, limiting the number of official dealers to preserve its century-old reputation. While incense does not have an expiration date, to ensure Taiwanese aficionados can enjoy the freshest incense, I-Hsiang Wen-Chuang employs a small-batch ordering system. We place orders every two months, with direct shipments from the Kyoto headquarters to Taipei, guaranteeing the optimal quality of our incense. Moreover, owing to our collaborative relationship and mutual trust with the headquarters, I-Hsiang Wen-Chuang is among the few distributors authorized to sell Shoyeido's limited edition overseas incense and Japan-exclusive products.
